Who invented cobbles I wonder? Probably someone without a pedal bike! Whoever it was they stumbled upon (sorry!) a great idea. Some of the cobbled streets in Whitby haven't needed to be re-cobbled in many hundreds of years, while the surrounding tarmac roads have been re-covered repeatedly. Enough words - here's some cobbles...
